The legislature is in session once again. Redistricting, education funding, jobs… a lot of important stuff is on the table for District 29. From death benefits for firefighters to increased penalties for repeated wage theft, I need your help…
At this stage of the session, a constant stream of special interests are attempting to lobby my cohorts and I. They have good organization, but most important, they’re often unopposed. That’s why I started D29.Connect: A place where citizen bloggers can engage each other on the issues that I can affect, and give me perspective on how to do just that.
There’s a lot of new and exciting technology that is being used to make this possible–at least it’s new and exciting to me! But the most important communication tool we need is a conversation. That takes you.
If you live in District 29 (see the above map), your input isn’t just welcome: it’s encouraged. As a matter of fact, Oletha.Org is looking for a few talented writers or bloggers to help get our conversation started. If you are interested in your writing appearing on Oletha.Org, use the contact link at the top of the page to get started. Send us some info about yourself and a sample of your writing!
Together, we can stop shaking our heads and get back to work.
